I started as a PhD candidate in October 2023. Currently, I am working on compound drought-heat events and how their drivers changed across recent decades. Later on, I want to extend my focus and not only look at changes in water related extremes (drought) but investigate changes across water cycle components. I aim to analyze how trends in one water cycle component propagate through the system, e.g. when precipitation increases, does evaporation, terrestrial water storage and/or run-off increase as well?
